Essential!
The15C calculator app is the best thing since the HP 15C calculator :-). These iconic reverse polish calculators are becoming rarer than hens teeth (I have two treasured copies). Finding that I could download an app and turn my Iphone into an HP 15C calculator was the best surprise. The app is identical to the actual calculator. The different displays on rotation of the Iphone screen is an added bonus. If I had only one gripe (which I do - only one!) it would be the ability to turn the click sound off when using it on the iphone. The clicks drive colleagues mad and I have to turn my iphone to silent to remove the sound effect - which is a problem as I often forget to turn the phone back, resulting in missed calls. A very small gripe. Download this app if you use or enjoy reverse polish calculators. It is an instant classic.
Behaves just like the real thing… well almost.
I used a 15C while at university and loved it. You can never quite get the same tactile feel in an app that you get from using a physical 15C device but this app comes close. I've tried other RPN calculator apps but realised that they never quite felt right because the button layout of the 15C was what my brain was used to. Very happy to find this true 15C app for the Mac.
Great to have an RPN Calculator on the Desktop!
The RPN calculators were the basis of our work in engineering and mathematics for many years. I still think they were the most useful and inuative calculators for the experienced user. This apps puts all that power on the desktop and mobile devices - with some improvements along the way. Its fantastic! Bug free and works a treat
