Let me first say I’ve had this app for many many years and it’s always been a favourite of mine. It’s challenging and I enjoy giving my brain a work out, but at the same time it’s very relaxing. I’ve spent countless hours, probably weeks if you added up the time I’d spent playing it. One of the things I liked most about this was the minimalist and simple interface, that has recently been changed. I’m sure people enjoy it but I find it distracts me a little from the puzzles. If it was at all possible, could you add the option to switch back to the older design? I just can’t seem to adjust to the new one. I’m not all a fan of it, and I wish I could use the older design.

A while ago a gave 7 Little Words a negative review because I still got asked about ad choices after buying a subscription. But fair's fair, this app has had a major revision and the design and game play and attention to detail are all very slick now. I was surprised that all the animations are really quite effective and enhance the experience. And I haven't had any further problems with the ads.(Ok, I've only just read some recent reviews disliking the redesign. So let me just emphasise even more: I think the new design is great. Yes, there was nothing really wrong with the old design, but the new one is just a leap ahead for my taste. So don't conclude it's universally unappreciated.)The only suggestion I would make is to reword the big "remove ads" button for those of us who have subscribed: it leads to unnecessary worry that the subscription hasn't taken effect whereas it's actually working.

Yes this puzzle got me going for the day part of my early morning routine. Lo and behold you changed it. I was no longer able to link two, two letters together quickly to get the answer to a four letter word that I didn’t know- yes it was cheating but it worked when my brain didn’t. So in haste I deleted the puzzle that I simply loved. Now my daughter tells me you have made changes to that horrendous crime of fixing something that wasn’t broken. So I have downloaded it again. My warning to you developers is the changes better be to my liking or else.....

For years this has been my favourite app. Even when I deleted most of the games and apps from my phone I kept this one. It’s challenging, fun, and educational. I would highly recommend it, but I desperately want to revert to the original look of the app. The design change is actually what prompted me to write this review (first app I’ve ever actually reviewed). Please change back to the classic minimalist look or, at the very least, include an in-app option to do so! Thanks for a great app but the old school look was part of the identity and charm of 7 Little Words.
