Getting better all the time
I still find this app the one I go back to after trying others. Calls work every time, app stays dormant in background and wakes when someone calls. Yes it does drain the battery if it's set to keep active all the time, but I bought a car charger and keep charging as much as possible and all fine. We now use the app as our home phone (iinet NDSL) on an old iPhone 3G.
Terrific
This is a great app for receiving calls to a landline on your mobile device. Its inbuilt filters are also very handy to block out unwanted calls.

Wifi finder paid subscription
Should notify the user in the app that it is a paid subscription at the point of activation. I could not locate any notification in the app or on acrobits Softphone website- did I miss it?
Also what’s the relationship with Facebook there?

The exact terms of subscription are described in the app, in the app description, in the linked "Terms of Use" document and iOS asks confirmation twice before the subscription is activated. We will be adding translations to more languages, but I don't see much space for improvement in making it more clear.
As for Facebook - there is no relationship. Some of the venues with wifi hotspots have Facebook pages and if they do, we show links to them.
