Lovatts' popular Handy Acrostic puzzles are included in this Australia / New Zealand version, as well as other international & US language puzzles.

Acrostics are crosswords with a twist: find the hidden quote. This combination of crossword and cryptogram provides an entertaining brain workout. Each letter in the quote is linked to a letter in one of the clue answers. As you fill in more and more answers, more letters will begin to fill the quote grid, until eventually the entire quote is revealed. Once the quote is partially filled in, you can also do this process in reverse – each letter you add to the quote will fill in the corresponding letter in the clue answers, Working back-and-forth, eventually the entire quote and all clue answers will be revealed.

The app includes 60 free quality puzzles with no ads, ever. They range from beginner to expert from renowned publishers like Acrostica, Acrostics by Cyn, Lovatts Puzzles, PennyPress Crostics, Puzzle Baron and Spanish language puzzles from Tav Ripo. Additional puzzle packs containing 48 to 50 puzzles are available for a small fee; the full library is over 6350 puzzles!

WAS 5* for me before yesterdays stupid update, now has the in-game user helps on the left side......it has always been right top ....dont tweak stuff that has worked for years as-is.
Love the game till today, would rate it 10*, it’s best acrostics available, so dont wreck it with un-necessary changes. I also hate from prev update how it skips letters already there now, when filling in words. ...dumb idea too.

Edit: the menu is back on the right in the new release 3.3.3. It took a while but I worked out now to restore it and still keep everything else working as iOS dictates. I hope this helps!

Hi again Suz, yes, this was a very hard call I made. I'm sorry it is disruptive. iOS 13 forced a lot of updates to the app, so I bundled quite a few changes together that have been pending for a while to "rip the bandaid off" in one go.

Skip letters can take some getting used to, and, based on some feedback I've changed how it works a couple of times. The overall feedback now is that it is better. I hope it grows on you too. 🤞

I'm working really hard to keep Acrostics 10 ⭐️, but unfortunately that does involve tweaks over time to keep pace with Apple's vicissitudes, as well as other customer requests. If you have more ideas or concerns, you can also reach me directly using Help – Contact Support.

Unhappy with the new layout

Would have given it 5 stars but I hate the new layout. Text size is too big and makes the clues too spread out and look jumbled. Can you bring back the more compact layout?

Love it

Once downloaded I haven't been able to stop playing it. It is a lot of fun and easy to work. My only complaint would be as an Aussie I find some of the clues are definitely aimed at the US market. Some spellings too are for Americans and not the rest of us. I will look for an Aussie/ British style as some of the games have almost 50% US content.
