Description
Use Aimy to aim your hand held antenna at satellites in orbit. Aimy helps you keep your antenna aligned throughout a satellite pass overhead, and lists upcoming passes.
Fit a dashboard cellphone holder to the boom of your handheld antenna, such as an Arrow or Elk.
Place your phone in the holder, and Aimy will tell you the direction of any satellite broadcasting on Amateur Radio frequencies, and help you keep it aligned during a pass. Keep the target in the bubble and the arrow aligned with your antenna.
Check your setup by pointing at the sun or the moon, then choose a satellite from the list that are calculated to pass in the next hour and are at least 10 degrees above the horizon.
