Book private rooms, share homes with a host or list your own space. This full-featured app boasts thousands of rent-ready pads, intuitive filters and a beautiful design.
Great customer service
I had a host call me the afternoon of our booking to say the place we had booked wasn't available anymore however could move us to another apartment 15min drive away. Given my work was next door I didn't want to accept the proposed unit. The host requested that I cancel as they didn't want to cancel and incur airbnb charges. If I cancelled I would have been charged cancellation fees. I called airbnb and spoke to Phoebe who immediately addressed the issue with the host and my refund came through within 30 minutes. Awesome service and thank you. This has never happened to me before and given the great service I will continue using airbnb. As for the host Apartments Domain Melbourne I will never use then again as not being charged cancellation fees by airbnb - even though they were in the wrong - was more important than serving me as their customer and most importantly doing the right thing. Thanks airbnb!!
How Airbnb treat you
Airbnb and their host have pretty much stolen money from myself. I have paid a bond as requested by the host and Airbnb support & resolution team have been tossing me left and right for more than a month with no result. Airbnb excuse is that the host is not responding so they can not get my bond off them. I had no issues with the host I even left a good review and they did the same so I see no reason by I have not received my $199 bond back. I can only imagine how many people Airbnb and their host have allowed this sort of issues happen to, I pretty much paid double for the apartment I booked. All I got from Airbnb was no help I will be sure to take this further and involve the ombudsman if need be take some legal action because at this point it’s not about the money but about the service I have done nothing but cooperated and all I got in return was money stolen from me. This is disgusting they have wasted a whole month and a half of my life over this, I am so upset that Airbnb and their host are taking advantage of people like myself. This is honestly discrimination, theft in broad day light and it’s so hard to contact them. You end up giving up on getting ur money back but not me I will be sure to make this matter right. I hope someone from Airbnb will stand up and actually provide me with some help.
