As a journalist, I'm interested in accuracy, empathy and relevance. Al Jazeera delivers all of these attributes in the coverage of the stories and events they cover. Over the course of the last 18 months, as a genocide has decimated Gaza and killed scores of thousands of Palestinians (many argue well over a hundred thousand, and some argue even more) Al Jazeera has constantly reported the atrocities committed by Israel, as well as documenting attacks by Hamas Western media organisations have, in the large part, published extremely biased reports and headlines in favour of the IOF and Israel, the perpetrator of the deadly genocide, as well as admitting to having known the October 7 attack was coming, as well as killing their own civilians on that same day (many with gun ship helicopters). Anyone who dares to stand up for Palestinians in western countries is quickly labelled an anti-Semite, a preposterous claim to make when the likes of Francesca Albanese, Special Rappateur to to the United Nations has declared what Israel has committed as nothing less than genocide. Al Jazeera does not try to curry favour with Israel or bend to pressure from lobbyists and politicians as we have seen many western media organisations do. Many western media publications and stations have done more than deny genocide, that have been complicit in it, with many actively having promoted it. Al Jazeera has suffered extensive losses of staff during this time, and yet they continue with hesitation. The journalists of this organisation are world class, with people like Mark Lamont Hill and others being at the top of their game. If you want to really know what's going on, and read perspectives that are not often published in western media, tune in to Al Jazeera. It is today's leading news organisation.

Al Jazeera is the best news service I have ever watched. It is thorough, factual, accurate and broad. The field reporters are hardworking and brave and the political analysts are excellent. Programs such as The Listening Post, The Stream, Counting The Cost, UpFront, Inside Story, and The Bottom Line are also excellent, and I have watched a number of standalone documentaries as well - the last one was by my fellow Australian Antony Loewenstein. Al Jazeera stands tall amongst a western media that has become lazy and politically biassed. I promote Al Jazeera at every opportunity, because I believe people will be better positioned to form their opinions, and make their decisions, if they are accurately informed. Thank you for what you do.

The only main stream media service where my family and I get real news on Palestine, the Middle East, and the rest of the world is in Al Jazeera. In Australian newspapers and other media we get almost one hundred percent pro Israeli bias news in reports and a lot of news unreported. An occasional critical news piece will be published to show our media’s balance on the Palestine issue, or sometimes a letter is published. In reality there is no balance or freedom of the press, and any real journalist that attempts to truthfully report on things or expose Israeli crimes is sacked or otherwise silenced. Al Jazeera tells the truth, and it’s reporters are brave and true. Thank you.
