Animation Desk® Draw & Animate 4+

Great, but...

I love this app! It’s good for both experts and beginners, with easy-to-use tools, plus a community of animators! I’m only 12, so I don’t have much experience with animation, but even I can create some decent works within an hour!

It seems too good to be true, and unfortunately there is a bug that proves this point.

So I was working on an animation which I had spent two hours on last night. When the morning came, I got up immediately and started working on it again. I was nearly done shading when I tapped on the button that goes to the next frame, and it started to glitch. I flicked back through the four or five frames before and after that glitched frame, and I saw that the glitched frame had been cleared and replaced with the drawing on the frame before it. The hair (which was on a separate layer) was off to the right, which was where the head was before. I was pretty angry that I had spent all that time, even on that one frame, then it just glitches up. I hope you can understand what I’m saying.

This isn’t the first time this has happened. But the last time it happened was a while ago, so I thought it had stopped. Please fix this glitch! I want to animate safely!

Great and easy to use but...

A month or two ago, I had downloaded the app onto my iPad Air to make an animation showcasing the process of my science project instead of doing a regular slideshow of pictures or video collage. It was really simple to use and the result was great but I recently downloaded the app onto my iPhone and noticed the difference in format which threw me off at first but I got the hang of it after a few minutes. I had downloaded the app because a recent school project required me to make a stop motion film or animation (due to unrelated reasons I couldn’t use my iPad) and I chose the latter. I had just started creating my animation when I noticed that there was no cropping tool. On my iPad there was a cropping tool that allowed me to crop the drawings from a frame and copy or paste them onto another frame. The cropping tool was what helped me create an animation more efficiently and now I have to redraw them every time I want to reposition my drawing and/or put it in another frame. Please help, this is such a great app that is fun and useful and adding onto the mobile format a cropping tool could make it just that much more enjoyable, easy and efficient.

Why???

Two years ago I downloaded this app and it didn’t work at all. Then I downloaded it a week ago this year to see if it would work because I want to become a animator and it worked! I made two sequences The I tried making a third but I forgot to save so I tried making another but all it said was; “you have already made three sequences get this to make more” now let me admit I had been using the “new sequence” for all of them because the tutorial never showed anything about Camera roll and all the other stuff I usually drew then randomly got another little page to do another drawing mostly because the tutorial also never mentioned how to do it without a iPad Air or iPad pen and was just showing off their work and I got really confused, I was really proud of my work and now it’s wasting space on my iPad just for some animation and I don’t want to pay money for something I can get from another animation app but other then this I’m happy you made this because it’s helping me on my dream.
