Easily align your digital TV & radio (AM, FM, digital) antennas within Australia. Perfect for setting up a new antenna or road tripping around Australia, Antenna Signal helps you get find reception in no time by showing nearby transmitters across Australia. Point your antenna in the right direction by using the arrow guidance showing the direction to your nearest transmitter, or use the explore view to experience augmented reality.

Data provided by the Australian Communications & Media Authority (ACMA) and updated frequently to ensure you have the most up-to-date coverage available. Featuring more than 620 sites and thousands of transmitters across Australia.

Enter the Explore tab, and see nearby transmitter sites overlaid on the world around you. Filter them so you only see the types (AM, FM, Digital Radio or Digital Television) you're interested in, and show sites within 25km, 50 or 100km of your location.

Tap a transmitter to view detailed information, including the frequency, antenna pattern, transmitter power, license area, status, antenna height, call sign, polarisation and more.

Use the heading arrow to view the direction and distance in which the transmission site resides from your current location. It can also be expanded to reduce the distractions and allow you to focus on working out which way your antenna needs to point.

Save sites that you frequent regularly so you can easily adjust your antenna upon your arrival. Particularly useful for those using an antenna for a caravan.

Plan ahead and see what sites can be found near your destination. Save them as a favourite for easy configuration upon your arrival, or tap to view more details.

Search for transmission sites by name, type (AM, FM, digital radio, digital TV, temporary licenses) or easily filter out those within 25km, 50km, 100km, 200km or 400km of your current location. Or show all if you can’t find what you’re looking for.

The app works with both light and dark mode, ensuring a smooth experience for those seeing to find nearby transmitters.

Know that there's a transmitter near you, but it's not available in our data set? Now you can easily add it and see it on the map view or get the direction of it using the nearby view.

Note: This app works offline. For signal, distance and nearest tower calculations, it will require you to grant location permissions, but all processing is done locally on the device.

Good app - but trying to get a version for Google Play

Is there a version developed for Google Play yet. Like the fact it covers Radio and TV together.

App information and instructions

Hi Brenton
Here’s my observation...
The app knows where we are but after that some explanation of what you are seeing would help... the wobbling arrow you can only assume it is pointing to the best possible transmission tower...
Then you look at the channel list and it tops out at five, where I am writing this there are in excess of 40 channels picked up by the TV!!
I understand it is under development but a bit more thought about customer expectations and explanations will reduce the negative feed ]back you have got so far.
Also the Zendesk, where on earth did you get that from
I’m happy for you to discuss their app further with me but not sure how to contact you otherwise
