Aqua Medic 4+

I’m trying to connect my SmartDrift 3.1 but it does not work.
I’m in “Smart connect mode” but AP Network is in the top right corner. If I click on “AP Network” the app asks me to check that I’m in AP mode but then asks to connect to the device’s wi-fi which I cannot do because it is password protected.

This is a very frustrating app.

This is a very clunky app that took a lot of attempts to get set up with my DC Runner 1.3. The instructions in the app to put the device into wifi setup mode are incorrect, and they’re not documented in the device manual.

The device has two setup modes. Press the wifi symbol on the device until the wifi icon is blinking to put it into standard setup mode. If you hold the button down again, you enter AP Mode (an alternative direct connection to the device), shown by a blinking wifi symbol with a smaller symbol next to it. However, the AP network requires a password, which doesn’t seem to be documented anywhere, so this mode is basically broken.

In normal setup mode, I found I had to enable precise location tracking for the wifi network to appear. Once set up, the app works, though I find the options unintuitive. Short-press to toggle devices on and off. Long-press to enter settings menus.

For what it’s worth, the pump itself is dead silent, so if you want basic on/off automation you might be better off just plugging it into a smart plug and forgoing this app altogether.

App doesn’t work. The instructions are completely wrong and no matter what I’ve tried I’ve never been able to connect the pump the the app. Pump is amazing besides the completely broken app
