I attended the AO with my two sons, on Wed 17th Jan. We had seats in Margaret Court Arena. I have attended the AO for many years but I am disappointed that the rules have changed regarding people entering the stadium during games without end changes. I found this very disruptive, and very annoying, when we were trying to watch a game. People in front of us stood up to let others pass them in the middle of a game! It was deuce and a tight match, and I found it very rude that others did not care about interrupting your view!!!Please bring back the old rule of entering in seats at the change of ends only. Myself and my older son have been many times where we had to stand outside the stadium and watch the screen before entering. At least this didn’t interrupt others. Not all patrons wait for end of the games before trying to get to their seats! This was the most disappointing aspect of the AO this year. Please bring back the old rule. New rule changes don’t always improve things. And surely it can’t hurt patrons to wait outside for 2 games!!!
Great app for Dark Mode Support needed
Sonic2k
Love the Australian Open app however if Dark Mode support could be implemented on screens such as the schedule tab and the scores tab it would be really helpful for readability especially for Accessibility purposes. I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve gone to check the Australian Open schedule and to be confronted with a White Screen. It’s very glaring when I have my phone set in dark mode and the app is still in light mode, please kindly add Dark Mode Support. Also the toggle switches are un labelled so voice over will not read them so I cannot tell if they are on or off. It would be great if they are fixed so that VoiceOver will read the label instead of saying button.
Developer Response
Dear user, thank you for the feedback. This is something we will definitely consider for future improvements. Enjoy the remainder of the AO!
What a frustrating mess!
JamCart
I wanted to search a player who lost, some time earlier in the week. Enter the name and search. No results. Check parameters, have to tick women’s tennis, try again. No results. Start flipping through previous days until finally something pops up. …it’s 2024 and Google’s search engine has revolutionised search engines and usability. Get with the program. I want to see who is playing tonight so I go to the schedule tab where they only list by court name and the schedule is filled with games that have been played today!!! so I have to scroll down, carefully looking to see which games have no scores. Ridiculous! Please do better. Treat us like people who have zero experience with apps and design it so an idiot (maybe like me) can use it. Give it to your grandparents or great grandparents! See how they go.
Awesome app! Loved it!

I found the AO App this year to be really easy to use and quite addictive. A great way to keep on top of all the matches being played. I especially loved being able to easily switch between the schedule and scores, and clicking into matches or players for more information and statistics was amazing. Thanks for all the hard work on this!
Minor stability improvements
