Better than 2018 - why does it only work on WiFi???
Can’t seem to get this app to work on 4G or even 3G. It actually crashed my phone when I was out of WiFi range in that no app would work other than on WiFi. Had to reset network settings and now the AO app is thankfully the only app that doesn’t work on regular internet.
I know this is an iPhone app that I am using on the iPad so that probably makes it even more awful. The old app from 2-3 years ago was easy to navigate but this one isn’t and you just have to touch the screen in the wrong spot it flicks onto the next day or something else irrelevant and you have to go back to square 1 to find what you were looking for. And why on earth don’t they make a proper iPad version? I can’t look at it landscape which I find seriously annoying. Lift your game Tennis Australia!
Update: at least they seem to have stopped giving players’ heights as 5 ft 12 in!! Seriously??? It’s 6 ft guys!! And another frustration - why is there no list of seeds? You can sort the players that way on some of the other grand slam apps.
From total disaster 2018 to utter catastrophe 2019
How does an application that needed to be updated on day one,and day four, and day five, that keeps asking you the same questions every time you open it, and that shows you the same schedule for both tonight and tomorrow night, ever get past the QA stage? Not to mention the slow loading, absence of caching when the website is down, clumsy UI, total absence of any evidence that anybody concerned knows fact one about tennis, ... Bring back the IBM system, please.
UPDATE 2019 version is even worse, if that is possible. The tournament would have been over by the time I managed to discover the schedule for day 1.
Up to six family members will be able to use this app with Family Sharing enabled.
