The Pulse 2 hub and App has been designed to embrace the architecture of a home and provide effortless control of Automate® motorised shades. Easily personalise the daily routine of shades; organising them by room, grouping them by scenes and automating them with timers. Unlock the convenience of smart shade operation, with the Pulse 2.

Pulse 2 App lets you create an automation routine, and once setup autonomously raises and lowers your smart shades at the optimal time so your home’s climate is always at its best.

The Automate Pulse 2 app have been designed to make controlling your shades easier than ever with a long list of features and control options!

MOTOR TYPES

The Pulse 2 Hub supports a variety of shade types including: Roller Shades, Romans Awnings, Curtains, Venetians, Cellular, Skylights, Large Outdoor Rollers.

LIVE FEEDBACK VIA ARC

ARC technology enables live communication between your Pulse 2 and Automate shades, so you always know what position your shades are in, as well as the battery percentage of your motor. Quickly check shade information within the app or ask Siri to check for you!

SUNRISE AND SUNSET DETECTION

Utilising your home’s time zone and location, the Pulse 2 can automatically raise or lower your Automate shades according to the position of the sun. Set a ‘Morning’ scene and watch all your shades promptly rise when you start your day, or a create a “Evening” scene that will dynamically alter based on the sunset in your location.

SCENES

Personalise shade control and organise how your shades operate by specific daily events or scenes automatically at the optimal time. Creating a scenes for your entire home can be completed effortlessly with a Scene capture button.

SHADE HEALTH

Check the heath of your motorised shades at a glance with Battery level and Signal strength icons on your device the screen.

COMPLETE CONTROL HOME AND AWAY

If you have multiple locations like a home, office, or vacation home, simply switch between them for independent control. Always be in charge of your privacy and security! Enjoy your time away from home without having to stress about your shades, the Automate app allows you to remotely access your shades, know their position and operate them as you would if you were home.

PERSONALISED EXPERIENCE

Share your hub with multiple users! Each user can create their own profile and a list of their favourite devices and scenes.

HOMEKIT

The Pulse 2 hub is Homekit compatible, shades are automatically added to the Home app and can be controlled with voice commands via Siri compatible devices.

SMART INTEGRATIONS

We’re all about convenience, so we’ve partnered with all the latest smart home assistants to deliver the most convenient shade control options. Intuitively operate your Automate shades with simple voice commands through Amazon Alexa, IFTTT, SmartThings, and Google Assistant.

Limited design

I like being able to automate (some) blinds. However the range is less than even my remote controls. How is that possible? You’d think that if the remote can easily reach and communicate, then the much larger powered hub should. It fails to communicate with outdoor rollers that are 5 meters or less away.

Bad User experience

Initially had a problem with signal connecting to the hub on an average sized home. Upgraded internet and Google Nest however the problem continued. Have determined Pulse Automate, Hub and Blinds are not connecting with each other.

As other reviews I had all blinds working with timers and rooms set, but blinds will not/open or close on occasion (including those close to the hub)

If the power from the hub is disconnected or power outage the blinds all drop off the app and all require being reprogrammed.

If the internet drops out again the blinds will require being reprogrammed.

Even while reprogramming the blinds they will all disappear from the app and I’ll be back to square one.

There is a lot of work that needs to be done here as your app does not allow the blinds to function as they are designed.

Won’t connect

The internet dropped of line due power outage, reset and had to reprogram again and won’t connect to hub keeps saying offline. Waste of time connecting to phone as it’s not a simple process to connect the blinds to app. Power outage and everything has to be reprogrammed and reconnected. Absolutely painful. App wont connect to HUB blue light pairing flashing and wont connect and states offline when you can see it connected.
