B&D’s Controll-A-Door app is part of B&D’s Smart Phone Control Kit that allows you to monitor and control your garage door while you are away from home; something a traditional remote control can’t do. It’s a great solution for those of us who carry our smart phone with us all the time.

The Controll-a-Door App can deliver alerts to your phone when opening or closing. The built in activity log also displays usage history so you can see who has operated your garage door and when. For peace of mind, you can also set up additional alerts to let you know if there has been an obstruction or if there is a need to service your automatic opener. It’s all at your fingertips.
The Controll-A-Door Smart Phone Control Kit also features extended range technology so that you can also operate an entrance gate on your app.

Only works on local wifi
The app only seems to control the door and provide status when connected to the local wifi.
It worked on mobile data only once about 1 year ago.
Therefore the idea of checking if the door is closed remotely doesn’t work. Is also a pain when coming home. Have to wait to connect to local wifi then refresh the app a few times then you can open the door.
Works Well
Works great. The implementation of Siri Shortcuts in the latest update is a great idea but unfortunately you have to unlock your phone first to get the Siri shortcut to open your garage door.
Can you please make it so the app works with Siri Shortcuts without having to unlock your phone first and also an Apple Watch app so you can open and close doors by using your Apple Watch and not your iPhone would be great too!

Works well, hardly take house keys anymore as I can open the garage door with my phone. Would love to see this compatible with Apple HomeKit to allow access with Siri.
