Feedback on Football App
Personally, I’d love to see more information about how each team is performing before each match; their present and recent form, important injuries, why they are performing so well or so badly. The tipping is good but a short, informative synopsis on their expected performance against their rivals each week, would be helpful. I love the stats during the game but there is a huge opportunity for a match’s radio commentary to be transcribed into text, so we could read the commentary, especially important for anyone with hearing issues. A big thank you to all the hard working staff behind the scenes, who are doing such an excellent job each week. My comments are designed to help improve the usability of the App

Surprisingly Selective Coverage
I am always puzzled why general news about English sport or results for European leagues are featured but you have to search for Scottish material, including football. I think the live written commentary on the web of games in progress involving Scottish teams has deteriorated. More comment than action. Just look at yesterday’s Hearts/Celtic match or Celtic/AEK during the week.
Sport content good, identity politics bad
The app itself is good, but it offers no opportunity to filter the BBC’s perspective on identity politics. If two LGBTIQA sportspeople adopt a baby, is that newsworthy on a sport app? I don’t think so. I enjoy the stories behind the headlines, and if race and gender are your key interests, you will be well served. If you want to know who won, and who your team are playing next, expect to have to wade through content that belongs in the ‘news’ section before getting to what you want. The app could be improved if you could filter out the content that doesn’t interest you, not just get updates on the content that does interest you.
