How does Telstra TV Box Office work?
To access Telstra TV Box Office on iOS you will need to have an existing Telstra TV Box Office Account (formerly BigPond Movies account). If you don’t have one, don’t worry, simply register for a Telstra ID at and we’ll get you started.
What are the features of Telstra TV Box Office iOS app?
You’ll be able to view your Telstra TV Box Office “My Library”. This allows you to see any current rentals or purchases on your Telstra TV Box Office account and then watch them on the go. You can also view Telstra TV Box Office titles you have rented or purchased on your Telstra TV, Mac, PC or other compatible devices registered to your Telstra TV Box Office account.
You can also set a Parental Control level on your device so you can restrict certain classifications from being played

BigPond Movies has changed to Telstra TV Box Office. We’ve come a long way since our days posting out DVD rentals, so it’s time to update the name to reflect the bright future we have planned for the service. We will still have the same huge library of movies and TV shows to rent and buy from that you love, just with a new name and logo!
Do I need a new account to use Telstra TV Box Office?
If you have an existing BigPond Movies account your account login credentials, purchases, and rentals will remain unchanged.
I have existing BigPond Movies credit, can I use it for Telstra TV Box Office?
Absolutely. Your existing BigPond Movies credit, purchases and rentals will still be waiting for you in your account when we change to Telstra TV Box Office.
Do I need to change where I go to for support now?
You can continue to get in touch with the team through the same website, social media, email address, and phone number for BigPond Movies. They’ll be updated with our new name.

Up there with the worst applications I’ve used
An app that seems to go hand in hand with Telstra TV yet neither app can be used to actually rent a movie from my device (late model iPhone). Have to actually log on via a browser to rent a movie. One movie worked with poor playback yet my download speeds are more than capable. Second movie came back with a playback error - with led to the typical please contact our Telstra team for help. No thanks. If I’d actually paid for these movies I’d get my money back. (I received a credit as a result of being a Telstra customer on a different platform). Save time and money - don’t bother with this arduous rubbish.
Sometimes plays what is purchased
I have purchased muliple movie rentals and they often stop and reset while movie is playing or it can't load and says can't play at this time and try again later. I have paid for so many rented movies that don't play no matter if trying to play off my smart tv or iphone/ipad. I have fast unlimited internet so that's not the issue.
So disappointed and waste of money.
I use google play now which is so much more efficient and costs the same.
Sort yourself out Telstra!!!
Waste of time. Can’t rent through the app - have to do on the webpage then come back to the app for it not to play and tell me I have too many movies open when I only have 2 rentals in the library and can only watch one at a time. Also can not cast to chromecast so wasted time setting up the app and account plus money on rentals I’ll now have to watch on my own on my phone before they expire as it’s not much fun watching a movie as a family around an iPhone screen
