Fanstatic
Great software package which does what its supposed to do... I think.
I say I think because everytime it has run the result hs been negative. Is it really negative because my system wasnt infected to begin with (meaning Apple gatekeeper and mac OS XProtect are doing their job) or was it because it wasn't able to find the infection if it was infected in the first place. Without a positive control, who knows? I am not game enough to actually infect my system, to see if if works.
It does seem as though it is scanning my hardrive, so I guess it must be doing something.
For the price I paid and the fact its not Norton, Macaffee or the other fear mongering, install us now to protect yourself from the net, we charge an arm and a leg to defend a system which doesn't need defending, we must scan 24/7 use up your ram footprint, antivirus software companies; i guess its good to keep to run every now and again just to check the system.
I would have given it 5 stars if it didn't continually ask me to purchase the Pro version, which obviously, I already did to be using the PRO version!
Terrific
My browser (Safari) kept opening up web pages by itself, opening up pop-ups saying there was a virus, then it locked up, I could not delete the history or close the browser. I used BitMedic, and the support team guided me through step by step restoring Safari. BitMedic scans quickly, gives great protection and its reliable. . I think its terrific.
Best antivirus for Mac
I have been using BitMedic for over 6 months now on both my MacBook Pro and iMac and can honestly say it is one of the best antivirus software for Mac out there. I have tried others and they always seem to interfere with performance of the system and have even caused my Mac to crash. BitMedic runs quietly in the back ground with very minimal, if at all, impact on the system and I have had no issues with it at all. It simply does what you pay for it to do.
