Blue Archive 17+

I’am writing this review in spite of all the controversies surrounding this game. Ive longed a game set in Military Anime genre and was so hyped when the game was released even played it in JP on bluestacks.

While the game still had many shortcomings in its repetitive gameplay I’ve loved the concept and I feel the game has great potential to improve on it. While I do prefer the dark lore such as Girls frontline or Arknights this is alright and looking from the newest update is going to ramp up.

I don’t know what people saying they can’t play or restricted in Australia as I have the game in AU AppStore as an Australian myself. Also I don’t care about the censorship controversy and not going to trash the game because of it like many others as differences in western and eastern culture should be understood and respected

I played many anime gacha game before, this game is very similar to princess connect re dive, made by Japanese game company cygame. This two game has a lot thing in common, but much better. After you completing all the main level (or while you just tried leveling up player’s level), except for the first day of event, it take only 10 to 20 minutes to complete your daily workout. This game doesn’t really take much time. Yes, just like I said, the gameplay is boring. So you might have hard time when you tried to beating all the main level. However, while you push through the level, the main story of this game will unlock chapter by chapter on progress. And I have to say the main story is my motivation of keep playing this game. The story of this game just awesome! Not just that, the characters in this game got me so badly, I fxxking love all of them! Character designs are awesome, and they all very lovely in the story is well. Like I said before, I played many anime gacha games in the past. Never seem one that has good story and good character in combined. Sad that they didn’t fully dubbed the story.

Here to counteract some of the recent review bombing. I've played heaps of gachas and I have to say Blue Archive is a standout.

Gameplay: really fun, the missions require a bit of problem solving and once you've done it you can skip it for the next umpteen years in two seconds (no need for skip tickets)

Characters: love the designs and great work with the L2Ds, would have preferred more voices lines but that's not a huge detractor.

Time: Blue archive really respects your time, raid (main source of income at this stage) is skippable after your first manual of the day. All in all can be done in under 30min.

Gacha: 200 spark is nice, and rates are on par. Global seems to be on a bit of an accelerated schedule but the freebies have been quite reasonable. F2P can't roll in every banner but that's the name with just about every other.

Music is tops and I find the main story and character side stories quite enjoyable and well written.

I know nexon hasn't got the best rep, but I think they've done well so far. Though they could have communicated the censor (of a 2sec scene in The main story) before releasing it to save some of the backlash.

All in all great game and would recommend
