Want to know your bin collection day? What goes in each bin? Or what to do with your waste? Blue Mountains City Council is making it easier for residents to reduce rubbish, sort waste properly and recycle more.
With this app you will be able to access:
- Personalised bin collection calendar with bin day reminders
- Quick guide to our bin system, and an A-Z list of materials and how to dispose of them
- Information about Council’s services and waste facilities, including maps and directions
- Frequently asked questions and contact details
- Optional notifications to find out the latest waste information from Council

Excellent app
This is a wonderful tool to know which bins need to go out each week. However, last week when I opened the app to check the calendar days were all empty and no colour codes were present. A note appeared at the bottom asking me to check my wifi connection even though there was no problem with my connection.
As I said a great tool when it works…
Useful but new version hard to read
I use this app a lot to check which week we are up to with bins (hard to keep track of everything!), but the new version is really hard to read. The pale grey square to mark the current day is barely different from the background white. Impossible to read in bright light outside for me. The strength of the app is as a useful quick-check tool as you are rushing to pop the bins out. Making it easy to read at a quick glance would improve things a lot.
