I like the app and the accuracy of the scans. I don’t like that there are “locked” measurements even after paying for use. You can see these “locked” measurements within the reports and comparisons so it is a bit odd to not be able to see this data conveniently as a paid user.This is my only gripe. I find the purpose of the app amazing by for helping me stay on track with my fitness goals as the scales aren’t moving but my measurements are changing so it is a huge help mentally.

I used to use the physical scanning pods all the time and they were great. The phone option gives disappointing inconsistent results. There has been a significant price hike to now use this service but the reliability to track progress is not there. I did a scan today and it didn’t capture my weight reduction - so I did the scan again with 3kg less weight - the measurements on many items were very different even though the scans happened within 30 mins of each other. With my weight reduction it said my body fat percentage increased. Sadly I can’t rely on this tool any more as the accuracy is too unreliable and I have used it less over the years due to the increased cost and poor performance. Wish the physical pods still existed.
I used mPort and the pods for about 2 years, scanning every 1-2 weeks and was so impressed and happy. The scans were accurate and the whole process only took a couple of minutes, it was so convenient. Was a great tool to track my fitness journey, and great value. That all changed when they closed the pods and moved to the phone scanning app. Scans were not accurate, and setting up the phone to scan was a hassle. I gave up in the end, and even with a year’s free membership I never used it. It’s such a shame as the product was so good - would have been 5 stars. I would legit buy one of the old pods if I could.

I was a paid mPort subscriber for a couple of years, but the results were no longer accurate when I was forced to use this Bodymapp’s app. They shutdown all of their Pods that were found in shopping centres, and did not offer any refunds claiming that standing in front of your phone does the exact same thing. I now just use a body measure tape, it’s free, accurate, and private. You don’t need to worry about Bodymapp’s invasive and ambiguous data collection and marketing policies. They see, record, and know everything about you, so think twice before standing naked in front of your phone with this app open.
Hi there. We're sorry you are disappointed with the removal of our pods, we apologise for any inconvenience this has caused you. However, we did send out emails when we announced our pod closures and offered pro-rata refunds to all of our members. If you missed these emails, they may have gone to your junk folder. Please contact us at support@bodymapp.co and we can organise this for you. In terms of privacy, we do not take any photos and we take our customers privacy very seriously. The heatmap on the screen is what gets uploaded for processing in black and white, no one can see what you are or aren't wearing during scanning. App worked well in beginning but there is clearly an issue with its compatibility with the new iOS or new devices as I can’t for the life of me get it to allow me to actually scan. Worked in the beginning but no ability to scan now. Doesn’t work when I hit scan now on notifications, from email notifications or push notifications. I’ve done everything - deleted and re-downloaded the app, refreshed all the settings, signed out and back in. Nothing. A whole month of this. No support and no update. Not worth it.

I know that ads are a necessary evil to finance an app, however this app has so many ads (particularly freemium game ones) that overwhelm the app so much and are so hard to get out of, I can't even see if I like the app or get the information out of the app to see if I want to upgrade to premium. I've just wasted half an hour and still can't see the results as am stuck with the game ads and can't progress.As a first time user at least let people test the app to see if it works for them before inundating them with ads that impact the UX of the app.

If the scan is not processed after 20 minutes, please contact us at support@bodymapp.com with your account details and we can troubleshoot for you.
