Best water bottle I have ever invested in! I love the notification reminders to drink and the app is so easy to use!

The reason this is not a 5 star review is because I NEVER allow location services on apps 24/7 - only when using the app so my battery doesn’t drain unnecessarily.

The app is annoying - I don’t want location services enabled 24/7 and everytime I open the app; I’m greeted with an irritating “reminder” to “Always allow” location services. I should be able to not have that enabled without being reminded EVERY TIME I open the app!!

We can completely understand why it must be annoying for you to come across the location services pop-up every now and then. Unfortunately, it is necessary for your Botell to show accurate results. Your Botell needs the location services so that it can access and communicate with the app when it is dormant in the background. If your location services are turned off or set 'when in use' the Botell is unable to wake the app up to pass on the drinks and the app then starts showing weird drink readings.

Mostly happy with the app. Only thing is that I wish there were an option that you could add any water you’ve drunk that wasn’t from the bottle to the total, otherwise it always looks like I haven’t drunk enough through the day.

Nonetheless, Botell tends to give you 95% accuracy and manually adding drinks might defeat the purpose of accurately measuring your hydration. It would be good to have the option to add your own glasses of water to the daily tally that don’t drink through the bottle (eg when out at a cafe). The Hydrate Spark bottle has this functionality and is a great app
