Brother Color Label Editor 2 4+

After reading the related review of about 50/50 I thought I would give it a go anyway. So pleased I did, But it didn’t start to well, As per the guy in the shop I brought the kit with what I was told was two different size labels and all good to go, Well after 3 days of my wife and son and his girl friend all having a go, it wouldn’t do any thing but flash. I think this was just luck but, I had a go as per the manual and the machine wouldn’t acknowledge that a label cartridge was in place. So my thoughts were OK we have the bad luck of a faulty cartridge, on changing the cartridge I noticed it was labeled “C” not a tape width like “25mm” or something, on researching this, I found it is a cleaning cartridge supplied with the kit, Note the kit only comes with one label cartridge. On changing the cartridge to one that is a label cartridge. The unit immediately started to work. Adding more devices is easy and just done in the top right corner when using the app on that device.
I would highly recommend this product, but would like to suggest a better OEM manual about cartridge choice.
I wonder how many of the dissatisfied review writers have made the same mistake as us on cartridge choice??

So I’ve finally updated from the old to new app. And even though the last one was hugely buggy and clunky, I prefer it. Maybe this is better for people who just want to use templates but I create my own from scratch and find this really plain and actually more difficult to use - funny that.
Oh and I lost all my previous labels as for some reason they didn’t allow a crossover or better way to export.
Label maker still doing me well though. And for what it is, is great.
