Ratings and Reviews
I want to like this, but...
Trying to read journals without having good the physical hardcopy in your hand is a real pain, and browzine is in many ways the best set out app I've found. However the fact that when you tap on an article you have to wait for the full PDF to download, rather than having the option of just looking good at the abstract. This makes browsing a journal issue and seeing which articles you only want to read the abstract and which ones to read the entire article of a slow process - ultimately requiring more time than I'm willing to allocate. So for now I'll stick with either dedicated apps for each journal, or read the paper copy.
Very useful app
This app is great because it compiles well known journals in one place.
When doing research, the last thing you want to do is use the un-user friendly university websites. This app takes the hard work out of it.
A means to an end
Difficult to navigate, and I’m fed up of it showing me new article alerts when I open the app. I have to close at least a dozen such alerts upon opening the app before I can even try and navigate journals and articles.
Unfortunately this is the platform I have to use to gain access to the library with my affiliated professional body, otherwise I would not use it at all.
Developer Response ,
