Could there be a messaging bug?

I’m wondering whether there could be a bug in the messaging functionality? I’ve encountered a couple of situations where my match doesn’t respond to one of my messages and then, about a week later, they unmatch me. While the first reason one might think of that explains this is that I’ve said something that wasn’t appreciated, which I’m confident is not the case, or they’ve simply lost interest and moved on, which I hope isn’t the case. In either case, why would my match wait about a week before unmatching me, it’s almost as if they were waiting for something e.g. a reply from me? My most recent such experience was only two messages after the match, one message each within the first 24 hours of matching, and we were deciding on where to meet. I had suggested a location that I thought was convenient for my match as it was located in the same suburb that Bumble indicated she was located. I kept checking for messages in Bumble every couple of days for the week that followed in case the push notification related to her reply wasn’t received by my phone but she never replied and, about a week after I had replied, we were no longer matched. I wonder if she never received my reply or whether I never received her reply.

I was confused as to why there were so many positive reviews so I sorted them by “most recent”. Barely a positive review in months and months. Presumably the early positive reviews were generated by some service in India. As a guy who’s looking for something with substance, this app is extremely frustrating and quite frankly a waste of time. I’ve tried it a few times and whilst I’m completely capable of writing a fun and interesting profile, I’m always left feeling completely dejected by the process. After weeks, not a single match with someone I’d actually consider a relationship with. If it’s come down to who I could meet on Bumble, I will stay single and most guys I discuss this with feel the same way. It feels to me that the women using these platform having so many options, they’ve completely lost touch with the reality of finding a long-term partner. I’ll admit that, on occasion I’ve considered just hooking up with someone I’m not overly attracted to simply justify the time and effort I’ve spent on the app. Therein lies the problem. What’s laughable is the up-selling of the premium service! Why in the world would I pay for this service? So that when I swipe left on someone it tells me I’ve missed a match! So i should pay $50 / month (!!???) so that I can go back and match with someone I’d already decided against? There might be some value for guys that just want to hookup with women but otherwise, as per the title of this review, useless and most certainly not worth paying for.
DONT buy lifetime premium!

Since I brought lifetime premium, thinking it’s a good investment, and will bring me the benefits, it actually worked the opposite way… unfortunately since I got it, I would be hardly getting 1/2 matches a month average. Before I would get 1/2 matches a day on free version… it seems it almost whipped me out of the game… so I decided to give it a test try. 3 friends right next to me, decided to swipe till I pop up, and it said they ran out of matches, clearly with me not popping out at all… then I swiped till they popped out, I tried super matching, normal slide, and also the compliment… none of them showed up! I tried to contact customer service, and as most of you guys know, never got a responds. At one time I got my photos removed and warned apparently going against their policy, and of corse nothing wrong with the photo. I contest it, I reuploaded the photo, and haven’t herd from them again… nor have the picture been removed again… I then spoke with someone in regards to what could of happened, and it actually makes sense, because bumble can NO LONGER make money from you, hence you maxed out the membership, you are no longer relevant to them so they just chucked u on a side. I tried to buy extra spotlights, zero likes… so clearly the algorithm is made in such way, I now get absolutely nothing back for my money… it’s so disappointed and waste of money… either massive issue that is made accidentally or deliberately to work against lifetime members…. Or I’m just sooooo ugly that nobody likes me any longer…. Either way, do NOT waste your money!
