Excellent follow us support. Not only did I get a speedy response but the helped me immediately.

Have been quite ill now for several years and BVS solitaire has been been marvellous.

Not good on iPad

There are nice features to this app. Being able to customise games is one of them. Having such a large collection of games is the second. But - the interface and general functionality is poor. Countless games haven’t been concluded due to the cards ‘malfunctioning’ - one card will simple freeze and make the game unplayable. And there are frequent crashes. In addition the setting of games ie rates of wins / losses is set either very high or very low for different games so that play becomes really boring. Similar games in other apps manage this much better. Having to choose games from a list rather than using thumbnails of them is also very clunky, and not being able to create a collection of favourites (the bookmark feature does absolutely nothing) is really frustrating. Also the collection is really not that diverse. The arrangement of games by difficultly isn’t particularly accurate and is not as useful as being able to create a favourites collection would be. While there is a hint button, the app can’t determine when there are no viable moves left in a game. Overall very underwhelmed for a $9.99 app - in fact a bit of a rip off really considering all the negatives and especially the amount of games where cards get stuck so you can’t finish the game.

Slow and frustrating

I have been a BVS adherent for years. I love their different games and use them almost daily. When there came an opportunity to have those games on my iPad I got excited. Unfortunately I am underwhelmed. The interface is sluggish and slow. There is no indication that a game is finished as there is on the PC. I waste time searching for moves when there are none and the app has given me no indication that I am stuck. A frustrating experience.

BVS Solitaire Collection for iOS actually has the “you are stuck” (the game is finished unsuccessfully) indication. Tap on Hint to see possible moves. The Hint is disabled if there are no possible moves left. If the interface is sluggish on the old device there are ways in the settings screen to make it more fluent.
