New Feature:
Calendar Notifications Toggle: You can now easily enable or disable Calendar notifications directly within the Canary Mail app. Head over to Preferences > Notifications and look for the new "Calendar Notifications" toggle located after Smart Notifications.
This update gives you more control over your notifications and keeps your inbox organized. We hope you enjoy this update!

Reliable email app, SecureSend is a great innovation
I’ve tried many email apps—Apple Mail, Airmail, Spark, Newton—but I’ve come back to Canary for it’s reliable search and the new SecureSend feature. When I search I can actually find the conversation thread I’m after without hassle. I like that I can now send encrypted emails for sensitive information whether or not my recipient has Canary or encryption keys. I also like the extra features it adds to Apple Mail while maintaining visual consistency—I.e. it looks like a native Apple app.

Background fetch
I really enjoy canary - it does what I like. A high quality mail app with privacy in mind. I’m not sure if it’s still the same but it sucked having to pay for both iOS and Mac app, but tbh the key issue I have is the lack of background fetching of mail. I use iCloud mail and with all the settings I’ve enabled it just won’t get mail periodically. So it takes a while for the inbox to get in sync and download new mail, and remove old email I’ve already archived. Nobody enjoys staring at their phone doing something that should’ve been take care of in the background. Hopefully it’s not out of the developers control.

Great for Difficult Corporate IMAP Services
Using a Mac (yay!!!) but the organisation has not yet moved to a mainstream mail and calendar service - they use their own in-house collaboration suite for security reasons (don’t ask) and Microservices outlook does not work, airmail kinda, Apple Mail yes totally works but I want to separate work and personal email for efficiency. Canary worked right away, synced the calendar which outlook couldn’t. It’s expensive compared to others but it actually works so I’m having to upgrade to pro. For me it’s worth the added expense. It’s a good product.
