Constantly freezes on export
The app was great, but recently I have had every other video fail to export - freezing on the “save video” screen. I can recover the clips sometimes from the library but it moves the position of the captions and causes them to be cut of on the sides if I don’t manually reposition them, the clips in the library are also usually out of order too so I have to go searching for my clips - assuming they’re even there, half the time they don’t save and I have to re-record. I usually record short clips so it can be really time consuming to find the right ones, put it all back together and reposition the captions, and then half the time it will just freeze on export again anyway.
It also causes my phone to overheat if I record for more than 10 minutes (I’m disabled, recording a 1 minute video takes a long time) which is usually when the glitch happens.
Eye contact doesnt work and buggy
New review: so I caved and bought the app.. and regret it. Mostly got it for the auto editing, captions and eyecontact. But the eyecontact doesnt work properly and looks like a dodgy tiktok filter. The captions work fine but it is impossible to edit anything in the app - you split a clip to remove part and it deleted the WHOLE CLIP!! So many bugs and just not enough content. So dont get it if you are thinking of it. Also the ai voice thing makes your voice sound tinny and gives you a lisp…
Old review: This app is free to download but if you want to use it, you have to pay heaps per month (after a 3 day free trial). This should be very clearly communicated to users PRIOR to download and it is missleading otherwise.
