I was really hoping this would work…
I read the bad reviews, but I did hope the bugs had been resolved by now. They hadn’t. It works okay until the assistant tells you where to place your pieces on the board, and then the graphics go all glitchy and you can’t actually see where your pieces are supposed to go. There’s just a flashing triangle where the graphics should be. Considering how professional and highly-regarded the game is, it’s a shame the assistant app is so poor. It’s a great concept and hypothetically so much easier than reading the rule book. I just hope they sort it out so it works properly, because we ended up hopelessly confused and had to use the rule book after all.
Big waste of time - Badly needs work
We bought the physical game of Catan and the instructions were so confusing we decided to download the app for help. Downloading the Catan content within the app took literally hours and kept re-starting. I even got my friends to give it a go and the same thing happened to them. FINALLY we downloaded the content and we couldn’t even use it. There was no option to use it, it just said we had downloaded it. So we spent all that time downloading nothing.
Total waste of time and phone battery. Only download if you feel like being frustrated.
Is a great idea but needs serious work.
