Only good for later model ‘phones

I have a perfectly good mobile ‘phone but not young enough (the ’phone that is) to work the app. Also I do not run data on my phone, only wifi. But many premises either do not have free wifi or slow to give out the password. Their young staff are also quite rude about the fact that I do not run data or have the latest ‘phone, if fact they are bewildered at the concept of someone not having the latest phone. There should be facilities for people to non electronically check in. It may not be preferred but an option. A lot of my friends just do not go to these places because of the hassle.

Hi OldBill304, thanks for leaving us a review. Check In Qld will work on all devices that can operate iOS 11, if your device is unable to use this operating system, please advise staff at the venue as they should always have other means available to check people in where they can't use the Check In Qld app for whatever reason.

Quick and easy

Quick and easy to use, the ability to save additional people to regularly check in with is great.
However, the ability to ‘Check Out’ would be good to ensure I don’t get caught up if someone comes in after I’ve left.
I have read a response from the developers that state they more accurately collate data from the check in time, the NSW app has this with a reminder notification to ensure you check out in case you forgot.
However, this also has bugs with multiple check ins that have been raised here.
I think it comes to confusion between states. It would be Awesome if we have a collaborative national approach to living with Covid.

Hi Ya gotta get this. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. Check In Qld has been designed to comply with the Chief Health Officer Directions regarding contact tracing. For now, these Directions do not require users to enter a check-out time manually within the app. We’ve passed your feedback about this feature onto the development team for consideration.

Untrustworthy until proven secure

Would be a good app, unfortunately the people collecting the data can’t be trusted. The Queensland Government recent history of corruption gives reason for the users to question the integrity and security regarding the backend and database management. As a user of this app I’d like to know how my data is protect, if my data within the Database Tables is encrypted, and how can I be sure that know MPs would use the data from this app for their own political benefit. These are fair questions I think users deserves answers to. I’m not saying that the app is open to corruption or hacking, however can’t justify the integrity and security of my data and say this app is safe. Please respond with how this app is secure, who has access to my data, and what will prevent corrupt politicians from using my data for their own corrupt agendas? Once these have been answered with complete oath and honesty, I’ll change my review
