Please note that some Apps with DRM content protection won't allow for screen mirroring. That's disabled on the wish of the content provider and we can't fix it on our own unless Apple or the DRM content provider allows it.
Chromecast X Streamer offers an optional one-time payment feature as well as monthly, yearly subscriptions to access current and future premium features (price may vary depending on location).

Works very well
Regularly updated, they offer a free trial. The exact terms seem to have varied over the years. After the trial You Can subscribe or buy outright with updates included. Make sure the Chromecast device and the iPad are on the same wifi network 😊

Possibly the worst app ever
I got and paid for a year membership because I wanted to simply cast to my chromecast. I can with this app but just the one same episode I reset the cache and clear browsing data, disconnect the device, reboot ALL OF IT and it still plays the same episode that I never even chose. When I tried to troubleshoot it has no search you can only trouble shoot a tiny selection of preemptive issues that are solved with “make sure your device and chromecast are connected to the same wifi” that is it. Beyond infuriating. WARNING DO NOT GET THIS APP it is a danger to one’s mentality and it’s a rip.
Works well but not upfront enough about what works
This app does not mirror Apple Music with sound, which is the sole reason I purchased a subscription.
I understand this is a greedy, money grubbing Apple DRM issue and no fault of the developers but what is a fault of theirs is not explicitly stating this anywhere in the app or App Store description.
Guys you have got to know that this exact use case is going to be a common need for apps like these with the terribly restrictive options for casting Apple content limited to purchasing their disgustingly overpriced hardware to do so.
Therefore I think it’s a little disingenuous of you not to state “this app will not cast Apple Music with sound” or something similarly informative and not just the generic DRM warning that appears in the app description.
Still does what it does well but that’s why it’s a 3 from me.

Thank you for the write up. Please note that DRM laws prohibit the sound capturing and that is a limiation chosen by the DRM content provider. It is technically not possible for us or any such app developer to control DRM content providers. And we do mention this limitation as clearly as possible in the App description and on top of it we provide a 3-Days Free Trial within our App so you can see for yourself first what works and what not. I am sure a wise user like yourself can see this in a minute of opting for Free Trial if your required service is DRM protected much before you get charged. Perhaps it would be worth a try sending an email to Apple to let them know about what you think of their DRM protection laws. Apple would read your email for sure but it is highly ulikely Apple would read your review and make some changes to facilitate users like you.
