Ratings and Reviews
App a little way behind browser capabilities
Need to have a search function in the app. It really holds it back. It’s much more user friendly on a web browser.
I hope they can fix this asap as I really like the content and want to support sports journalism.

Very disappointed
Just subscribed, adding to my existing subscription to The Australian and then noted that there is no IPad app - just the IPhone app on the IPad - I hate that. Especially when you download the app your IPad. I suppose I should have checked first but instantly regretted signing on for 12 months. Given the apps in the News stable have IPad apps it is very disappointing that there is not dedicated IPad app. I’m never surprised there are problems with Aussie apps in contrast to the overseas apps (WSJ, The Athletic, The Times etc) which run without glitches.
Also, so far, most importantly, the articles I’ve read on the site, I’ve then come across them at free sites or at the Australian subscription. It was a rash decision which I regret. I should have gone for the free trial rather than the discount for 12 months.
Needs more football content and dark mode
News Corp has the potential to end The Athletic with this if it uses their whole network and makes new hires. If I was Rupert I’d be making sure this doesn’t just focus on Australia. App is excellent. Needs dark mode.
