Ratings and Reviews
Worth the cost
The pro version coder academy is a crucial consideration and one you shouldn’t hesitate on. The depth and complexity is well paced for beginner courses and you won’t find a UX/UI design anywhere that is quite like this. It’s been really great to self pace learning and be able to stop and take multiple quizzes and access a community forum. Heaps of value. Heaps of learning.
Not for complete beginners
I started the Python course and after the first module on ‘hello world’ it goes into ‘control flow’ with explanations that are not tailored for beginners. After a few slides it’s straight into practice with tests that are definitely not for beginners. There’s this assumption built into the course that you would know more which is odd. I thought this was an app to learn programming from scratch but apparently not. There are you tube videos that do a better job of teaching to beginners. Watch a bunch of those videos then maybe come back to this app or another.
Lastly for an app that teaches programming it is mind blowing the developers can’t even develop a suitable version for iPad. Not everyone wants to learn programming on a tiny phone screen. Just weird.
Great when watching TV & being able to review content
I like keeping my hands busy when relaxing - this is a great way to do that & learn simultaneously. Keep developing this mobile app!
