Ratings and Reviews
Almost what I am looking for, but not quite
Get an automatically generated set of colors from an image. You can control the number of colors but not much more.
I can see what the Gamma slider does but it seems to simply change all the swatches together. No way to pick individual swatches and change them.
The palette of colors can be saved. By default it goes into the System Library Color folder and from there it will be visible in the Colour Picker’s Colour Palettes with the name of the saved palette file name (so give it a sensible name).
The only thing is the colors can’t be saved with either the HEX value or some other meaningful name. They are just called Source Image Name #1 etc. You can change the name in the Color Picker but then it won’t match the original set. You can view the swatches in Colour Palette with HEX or other value on the swatch but if you turn it off or change it it won’t switch back on. Not that that helps in another app.
I haven’t checked just how mobile the color file is on another System or on another Mac. I hope it is but even if it is, it still is going to be a difficult to match process where you need to manually move the file into the correct folders. Determining what and which changes are in any sets is not going to be visible without laborious testing. Nor is managing versions
