Best that I have used.

Over the last couple of years I have tried out many different ear training apps. This is by far the best I have used. I love the way that it is structured, you can not move on to the next level until you are able to almost perfectly identify the intervals on that level.

The quality of the sound for each interval is amazing. I have never heard better. Easily better than any of the other apps.

I am actually starting to improve my ear. Highly recommended.

Family sharing for in-app purchases

This is an excellent app and I can feel my ability increasing gradually even though I believed I would stay tone-deaf forever. There is actually hope!

I am wondering if it is possible to enable family sharing for the in-app purchase of this app though?

Classic trainer needs work

I like the ear training side of the app, though I wish I had control of the speed which you hear the notes. Often you'll need to repeat the interval to properly hear it. There also appears to be a lot of harmonic content on the timbre of the notes. It would be nice to start with sine waves which have no harmonic content.

The classic trainer I found to be hopeless, I identified the correct notes but somehow it wasn't correctly entered into the app. For this reason I gave up on this side of the app as it's useless if you can't enter your answer.

Developer Response ,

Thank you for the feedback. The problem you encountered lies probably in the fact that you didn't input notes properly. Let's say you want to enter "C#". Just write as if you were writing the note on a computer keyboard: press on "C", then press on "#" (you have half a second for that before it is considered a C natural). About the timbre thing, it's actually better to train the ear with real live instruments (the app uses a real recorded piano) than pure sine waves. Hope this helps? Best, Stéphane.
