This Control4 app is specifically designed to be used with Control4 Smart Homes running OS 3. It turns your iPhone or iPad into your personal user interface to control all your smart home devices.

Smart Home OS 3 was thoughtfully redesigned to make it more personal and the smart home OS of choice for families. It enables you to check on the status and control your entire smart home including music, video, lights, thermostats, security system, cameras, door locks, garage doors, pools, and much more.

• All-new Active Media Bar shows what’s currently playing and gives you fast control of media
• Easily adjust volume through a new, intuitive volume slider control
• Background wallpapers for each room can now be easily changed right from the app

Temperamental
This app is only partly user friendly and very temperamental.
It will decide not to work for no reason.
It Will switch off zones and keep others running, even when wifi connection is at full capacity.
It will decide not to load and begin operations or commands for no reason at all.
And most frustrating of all, when a text or call comes through while your using the app, the app will simply shut all zones off and stop all operations.
When it IS working, it works like it should be.
Don’t expect great things from this app, expect 2/5 and you won’t be disappointed……

Apple Watch app critically missing
App solidly built, high reliability, excellent remote connection, ease of use.
-1 Star due to the continued unavailability of an Apple Watch app for C4 OS3 (Apple Watch app only available for C4 OS2).
Unreliable and now exploitative
Have had this system for almost a year. Have been tolerating the unreliable connection, the spontaneously turning off or on, ignoring settings, and generally being a buggy app.
Open it today to turn on the aircon (in the middle of a heatwave) only to be told I suddenly need a paid subscription, despite the fact I’m accessing it from my home wifi. Vile and absolutely not worth it. Go elsewhere.
