  • Very well made.

    Reeeeeeeë

I went from no running experience whatsoever (in fact I used to have running/sprinting based exercise induced asthma) to being able to run 30-35mins! That’s more than I’d ever ran in my life due to fear of asthma attacks! I am very pleased with the app; and have moved onto C210k (on the way to training for a half marathon). However I may still use this program for speed improvement training (you do kind of outgrow it once you’ve done it once- but that’s a good thing- though there’s potential for re-use in speed training). It progresses at a good pace and whilst it looks intimidating at first it is paced well. Every week I’d happily tell friends my latest running record out of excitement at my progression.

  • Ok but pricey: may as well get the 10k app instead

I got the lifetime subscription, since I figure I’ll fall in and out of running and so the app will always be useful, but then discovered they have a 10k app, which is a totally separate purchase. It’s silly to have to pay twice for a whole separate app if I want to progress beyond 5k.I will say, I do love how easy this app makes it to progress and get better at running - I’ve tried a couple others and loved this one the most. It’s easy to use, the music integration isn’t fiddly, and it does what it says it will. I agree with other reviews though, that the price is a lot for what it is. By week 3 it’s basically just telling you when to start and stop. I wish it gave more advice about when to consider picking up the pace, reminders about breathing and form, etc.If I had my time again, I’d have stuck with the Nike Run Club app, which has more tailored programs and is completely free.

  • Omg so good 💯💯

    My name is Aria.

So I’m practising for cross country at my school, so I just got this app and started running and told me everything to do run for a bit then have a rest and walk run for a bit and have a rest and walk and then at the end, you can do a little bit of stretching so you’re not all sore and it’s really good so I think you should get it and yeah my hands are a little sweaty from holding a phone but it’s pretty easy honestly you can also play music while you’re running which I love I sing along and the neighbours can hear me. I just want in my backyard and it’s fine my neighbours dogs bark but it’s fine because I can’t hear them through my AirPods but by so good by the way.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

First, I have to say that the support team for this app are the nicest I’ve ever encountered- they are patient, helpful, and so so friendly. A rarity these days but that team are next level. Second, I started running with this app in its first version about ten years ago; it quite literally changed my life. I can’t run, I’m just not built for it, but with this app I started to run and, after a few weeks, for the first time ever, I could keep going. I still haven’t gotten to 5k but who cares? I’m fitter, stronger, and mentally so much better than before. I restart all the time when I’ve let it slide for too long, and it works every time. Love it.

  • Definitely worth a shot!

I’m not a runner, I never have been! But a friend recommended this app when I said I wanted to try to get into running, but really struggle with motivation and knowing what to do. This app is great! You’ve got a voice through your speakers telling you when to run, when to stop, and motivating you when you feel like giving up. I’m currently on Week 6, and am running for 8 minutes at a time which is amazing to me, considering I tired very easily prior to starting and absolutely hated the idea of going for a run. Now I find myself looking forward to it! Would definitely recommend if you’re looking to give it a go.

  • So motivating!

I downloaded couch to 5k to give me more structure to my gym workouts. I had the goal of coming to the gym 3 times a week and wanted to train towards a fun run that raises money for breast cancer but had absolutely no running experience. I’ve noticed a hug change in my endurance by week 4, week five I can run two 8 minute intervals without feeling like I’m going to drop dead! I combined this app with a decent warm up and cool down stretch, magnesium glycinate before bed and some knee stabilization exercises twice a week. I’ll absolutely recommend this app to my friends, I look forward to each run and love how I can customize the difficulty as I’ve progressed.
