PLEASE NOTE:
In order to take video you need to be in 'video mode' - Swipe right and you toggle between photo and video mode. An indication that you are in 'video mode' will be that the view finder will slightly enlarge. Once in 'video mode' you can double tap to start the video.
It is currently not possible to auto-disable the shutter sound of the camera when taking a photo. It is against the iOS Developer Program License Agreement.

Bro I got caught because the red dot was showing when I was taking notes in class, can you please have an option to remove it and I can just memerise the pattern to record

It is against iOS Developer Program License Agreement to not have indications on the screen when taking a photo and/or video.
Easy and Discreet
I got this great little ap to record legally without drawing attention to myself. I believe its going to make my research task a lot easier!

The new app has slightly different settings. In order to get to video mode you need to swipe right (if you have the viewfinder on display it will slightly enlarge to give you feedback you’re video mode).
If you then double tap it should start recording.
Hope this helps resolve the issue.
