Description

"Creatures Such as We" is a philosophical interactive romance novel by Lynnea Glasser, where your choices control the story. It's entirely text-based—without graphics or sound effects—and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.

Living on the moon is lonely, and stressful, and exhausting. Video games have always offered you an escape to a better life. The easy, happy life you wish you had. Which makes it so frustrating when the game you've been playing ends badly. But you have a chance to figure it out, because the next tourist group is the designers. You can debate with them about art, inspire them with the beauty of outer space, get closer to any one specific designer in particular, and finally find out how to get the ending you always wanted.

What could be improved

I thought the game was beautiful. I’m dyslexic and thought it’d be difficult to read but the large letters made it easy. The building time restraints were a wonderful idea. It’s not an excruciatingly long wait like some games. It was wonderful to also see the LGBTQ+ representation. It melted away reality and totally engaged me in something that felt real. Truely beautiful writing.

I had trouble Scrolling through all the choices at times. And it would have been cool if their was an easily accessible night mode. It would have also been nice to have some form of art to separate the chapters and also to finish on. I am in love with the black and white, 2 astronauts photo so some like that is welcome.

All in all; I cannot wait to play it again and I’ve already downloaded all your other stories to try them out too. I hope to see more in the future of this fantasy but seems plausible in the next 20 years thing. I don’t know, just a big congrats on your game. This is definitely one to share with my friends.

So far so good👌🏼👌🏼Some things do need fixing though...

I haven’t finished the game yet but so far it’s been great👍🏼I do have some suggestions though.
-Regarding the ads, for starters $9 to remove them is insane. Also it’d be nice if you didn’t have pop up ads, they’re annoying if you’re really immersed in the game. And even the banner ads at the bottom could be a little less intrusive.
-Have an option for iCloud sync so if I want I can pick up where I left off on a another device.
-I’ve noticed several spelling errors already.
-Some of the responses seem to quite feminine, or gay, even when I’ve chosen to be a guy and never done anything to suggest I’m anything but straight. Basically there should be more optional responses that are more inclusive of heterosexuals.
-It’d be nice if you had the chance to change your theme and font like when reading anything in Apple Books.
-Finally it’d be cool to be able to go back and, if not be able to change your answers, at least see what you chose and what’s happened.

Thoroughly enjoyed it!

Such an amazing game, i loved every step of it! The characters and settings feel real and i grew to really connect and love them and all their unique personalities. While i wish there was more, the game is fairly long and the ending is satisfying. It has many options and is extremely flexible in your choices. I can’t get enough of it! I recommend it to ANYONE who enjoys a good read or choice game, though it might not be for those who don’t like to read for long amounts of time. Other than that, definitely give it a try! :)
