Very good implementation & great AI

Really excellent version of the game with a computer player which gives a good competitive game. Haven't found a computer version of cribbage that's this good ever before. EVER! And I've been looking for quite a while.

In future versions I would like the option to see all hands on the table as they are revealed because it helps to see who had what and I'd also like the game to reveal final hands at the end of the game even if they are not scored. EDITED: I first rated this in 2013 & this is written in 2019 and I’m still loving it. And Cribbage Pro listened and final hands and crib are now visible! Thanks Cribbage Pro team!

Drops out frequently, terrible design

I don’t understand all the positive reviews for this one. The layout is terrible, you can barely see the pegs on the crib board. It takes two taps to play a card - once to select it, once to play it. And it plays in portrait mode when card games work so much better in landscape mode - you can fit more in to the field of view. Same for putting your cards into the crib - it’s three taps when it could be two.
I’ve been playing Wildcard’s Cribbage against a friend via the app for years now - has such a smoother and better user interface and game play. The only problem with it is it can be left behind by iOS updates such as the most recent one, so I came looking for others. Played a few games in this one and hated it. If we just had an app developer who understood good design and was up to speed with system updates, now that would be a good crib app....

Hi, good news, if you want to play with fewer "taps", there are several options in the game settings. Select the "Options / Settings" from the main game menu screen and you will find options for every type of card selection, or just discarding, etc. We also support landscape display on larger devices like the iPad (and on many others), and we may add it to the iPhone in the future. The core reason for portrait being the default is that playing cards are portrait sized and actually do fit better in that matching orientation of the phone while keeping the cards relatively larger. That was more true when phones were smaller when the game was first developed, but now we have what used to be called "phablets" as the new normal, so adding landscape mode is definitely something we can do for iPhone in the future. I used to play cribbage with my Dad back in the 1960s.
He used to pay me 6d for every 12 points I scored. Unfortunately in 2013 I had a brain tumour and chemo and radiation which has affected my skills. However, I will still challenge anyone in the world.
