Description
Leash It is a new mobile App to assist you and the authorities track and recover stolen items, such as bicycles, luggage, pets, motorbikes, cars, trailers and caravans.
With the Leash It Bluetooth Leash hidden on your item not only will you be able to keep tabs on your own items but also become part of the Leash It Community Of Things.
Working together with all users, it enables Leash It users and authorities to pinpoint the exact location of a stolen items through a Bluetooth crowd based GPS tracking social network.
Leash It is a device that enables our communities, together with the police and other partners to put a leash on theft for good.
The Leash It App and Leash beacon also allows the owner to set a perimeter around themselves and their item, if the item leaves the leashed area it will set off a warning alarm on their mobile, giving them a chance to recover the item before it disappears.
Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Still on trial - update.
The App's instructions are poor and non-extensive and need an upgrade. However, the help desk was very good, so if in doubt, email or ring them. I have still to trial them on trip.
I trialled 4 of these for six weeks, hoping they would work. At no time did any of the 4 work. In fact, they appeared dead by the time I reached Sydney en route to Europe, despite new batteries being installed on the day I left. Worked at home, dead three hours later. Useless. Not recommended.
Glitchy, does not save, does not work!
I saved my Leash It information to the app before loading my luggage onto the plane. When I landed and took my phone off airplane mode, there was no sign of the item, nor the information - the information had been cleared from the app. Further, the app was unable to locate my luggage because the device info had been cleared. I am disappointed I wasted $50 on this rubbish device and glitchy app.
Error Domain on App
I've just bought the tracker and trying to activate with the apple app but it comes up with error message Error Domain . .. I've reported via online inquiry form on the site. At least they reply quick.
