Decibel X has one of the weirdest pricing setups I’ve seen, it gives away fancy frequency analysis and real‑time graphs for free yet basic stuff like recording and importing/exporting files is stuck behind a subscription? It’s totally backward but If all you need is a quick decibel check the free version is everything you need I guess but the minute you try to save or share your data you’re out of luck unless you pay up.What really kills me is how it flips the usual premium approach on its head, you’d typically see the essential features unlocked and the more advanced ones as paid extras but Decibel X does the opposite, sure you get the “cool” features at no charge but what good is advanced analysis if you can’t record or export it without coughing up more money? it’s an absolutely stupid model that ends up being more frustrating than helpful.
