Real Film Emulation on iOS
I love using Dehancer on my computer to quickly emulate film for my professional work. Dehancer has consistently being one of the most comprehensive and well thought out plugins for the job.
Dehancer for iOS brings the same amount of power and control to my phone which is very exciting. I love you can now use it for video with all of the same controls I’m used to on a much more expensive system.
The only two things I will mention is processing takes a hit with this app, videos won’t play back in real time even on a newer iPhone. Plus the yearly cost is a little high for unlimited exports. However, thankfully you can trial it and see if it’s right for you beforehand.

More than just a lut!
The Dehancer team reached out to me with a trial of their products, and I couldn’t be more happy. With a bit of research and experimentation, I found their software and app was easy to use and a professional way of turning your footage to look like beautiful film stock. I’m keen to see how the team develops the app in future, and think it’s a very valuable asset with lots of potential for creators like myself. It would be cool in future to include certain film “looks” you could choose from, like Fight Club or Vertigo, or even an online community where people share certain looks.

The best Film Emulation App Ever!
Dehancer is an amazing Film Emulation App and as a Photographer and Filmmaker, I can definitely say that it is the best App Ever to recreate some incredible film looks on your photos and videos. You can definitely tell that there's been years of research to be able to recreate all the different Film emulations available in the App and Plugin! Kudo to the Dehancer's Team that's been working hard on it and amazing to deal with, I highly recommend it!
