Why did the duck cross the road? ’Cause his name was Donald, and his pal Mickey was on the other side. This version of the hugely popular Crossy Road does more than just insert beloved Disney and Pixar characters into its blocky, obstacle-dodging fun—each of its nine unique worlds is bursting with clever gameplay tweaks, heartwarming detail, and cherished characters to collect. From the jaunty Inside Out theme that plays as you gather memory orbs to the Haunted Mansion voiceovers taken straight from the classic ride, it’s a great game made better with a dash of Disney magic.
Addictive and Awesome!
The game is sooo addictive but the weekend challenges are a bit annoying when you lose all of your lives could u add maybe 10? Sometimes I find addictive games (after a while) start to get a bit annoying when you're just looking to relax. Something I really liked was the dice mode thingy. I like how it gave u a chance to explore all the characters you'd collected and sometimes I found myself saying - "oh cool I didn't know I had that" and "oh I forgot I had that character!" The other thing I wasn't to fond of was the double ups I understand it was to make it more realistic seeing as it was a vending machine thingy but it was a bit annoying spending all your money on the double ups. Overall it was an awesome app!
Solid, charming game with some cashgrabby gimmicks. (and a payday loans ad!)
(Edit! Among the video ads, there was an ad for LatitudePay! One of those “buy-now-pay-later-with-ten-freaking-weekly-payments” Payday Loan companies. On a children’s game. On a Disney children’s game. Let that sink in for a moment.)
The gameplay is fun; simple but addictive, but there are some unnecessary additions that sour the experience for me; for one, the Weekend Challenges aren’t bad on their own but the “lives” system turns it into a cheap cashgrab and tedious challenge that may prove addictive for some. And then there’s an excessive amount of characters (at least 17) who can ONLY be unlocked through these weekend challenges (which are frustrating and take a while to complete) and if missed, essentially have to be purchased with premium currency, which is very hard to come by! Encouraging kids to spend monaay! And as a small rotten cherry on top, an intrusive ad always pops up upon opening the game. Not a very good “welcome back” party if I do say so myself.
