This is a fantastic app!
I’ve been using ‘Alfred’, for a couple of years now. I’ve never had any issue with it to be honest. For the free version, it does exactly what you need it to do. To the review complaining about it not working at night, I’ve also never had a problem. If you adjust the setting to night or whatever that function is, I’ll agree it’s not brilliantly clear, but you can still hear and see picture..(obviously not like a video if it were captured in natural day light).
I’ve had it set up in my room, hidden, & I’ve managed to catch people in the act in my room. Well done to the developers ! Anything negative from anyone tells me they perhaps need to actually install outdoor cameras etc.... installed professionally and need to spend hundreds of dollars). Don’t diss the app! 100% 5 STARS!
Amazing
This app is fantastic. I’d purchased a new phone and both new and old phones were the same make (apple) and both signed in under the same iCloud account so all I had to do was set up one phone and other was automatically set. I wanted my new phone to be the monitor so I went into settings in Alfred on that phone and chose that option and went in with the other phone and chose camera. Bam, I was using it immediately. When my nieces come for a visit or sleep over I can use the phones as a nanny cam. I open the Alfred app on both phones and place my old phone as the camera in the bedroom and can watch, listen and even record from a other room.
Better off with cheap wifi cameras from Kmart.
Used to use this a couple years back with a cheap $30 junk burner phone and playback was free just limited to lowish quality and maybe how many videos you could store.
Now am trying to use it again with an iPhone 6 this time as a camera and the quality is really really really bad for free users, also they’ve locked everything including video playback behind an absurd paywall subscription service.
Like I get that company’s want to make money but the equivalent of a Netflix subscription for something you use your old tech for is a bit much.
Would suggest just selling your old tech and buying wifi cameras from Kmart or something with the money you make, like at least Mirabellas app is free and the cameras cost only $50 Australian and it can do a lot more with home automation instead of just cameras.
