Ratings and Reviews
Promises much, but mostly delivers frustration.
When it works it’s great, but getting my iPhone 7+ to connect to my Osmo2 is a laborious process... after which time the app works for a while but then it decides to ignore the record button on the Osmo2 completely.
Deleting video files within the app is a pain as selecting any more than 2 at a time crashes the app, and yep every single time. Also, I have deleted images and videos multiple times only to then import the files to my desktop machine and sure enough they are there again. So with each new batch of video I import I have to re-re-re-delete every other video I have ever taken, yet again. I have gone through settings, cleared caches, done everything that makes sense in efforts to delete or reset the app, but nothing seems to work.
Also, spelling!! When saving burst images can you please update the default filename to ‘burst’ and not ‘brust’.
This app could be great, but if DJI can’t develop a stable app for their simplest in-hand product then how can i trust they’ll get it right for an expensive drone flying a mile offshore?
I hope DJI read these reviews as I look forward to seeing these things sorted. Like I said, it could be a great app, but for now I’d be looking elsewhere. Thanks, Ben
Should save video to camera roll by default
Gimbal is pretty good, just noticed it doesn’t save video to the camera roll, you have to go in and select all the videos and then save them to your device... why? Why can’t you have the option to save to the camera roll by default? I want all my footage easily downloaded onto my computer for editing, I don’t want this additional step of selecting all the videos and downloading all these videos to the camera roll, it is superfluous... SAD!
Pretty good, if a little controlling
Overall I'm pretty happy with this app. I have a Phantom 3 Advanced, and can't say I have had any real problems wither the app. When I first had it, I couldn't get to to let me fly beyond 30 meters, even tho all the settings were right. I re-installed and it started working. Every now and then it limits me again, but I'd I go into the app and log out and then log in again, it starts working as it should. That's not a bog, it seems to be something DJI have built in. Apart from that minor annoyance, everything else works a treat so far. My recommendation for ppl that have issues is to contact the local authorised DJI dealer. In my case with Rise Above, they addressed everything quickly and accurately.
