Version 3.5.4
The DW app is now even better. This update includes some small improvements while getting rid of some bugs. We are constantly working to improve the DW app and your user experience. So, if you have questions, suggestions or ideas for new features, just send an e-mail to apps@dw.com.
Ratings and Reviews
Remains buggy
While I enjoy the news content when the app is working, I often open it only to find a blank screen and the refresh icon not responding. App only functions again after I leave it for a day or so, or turn my iPhone off and back on again. Despite numerous app updates since I installed it in 2022, this ‘blank’/no content bug still happens fairly regularly (at least once a week).
Ok only
Great news/lifestyle content.
But, every week I have to shutdown my iPhone to because DW has locked up again. I have a number of news apps, this is only one has consistently locked up on me. The developers seem uninterested in fixing it.
After sending this review I’m going shutdown and then restart my phone so I can use the DW app.
UI consistency
Like the app for the news content. Would like developers to adopt standard iOS conventions such as swipe-to-go-back instead of having to use the arrow in the top left corner. Awkward to use.
