Ratings and Reviews
Repetitive and buggy
I initially gave this 3 stars but after more time I’ve changed to 4. Very enjoyable with good graphics, but there are a number of bugs where units get in a loop and are jammed in a position where they can’t get to where they need to go (ie medic stuck between a patient and an obstacle running on the spot).
I also don’t like the way you can’t position the vehicles where you want (eg move ambulances closer to where the patients are) or send vehicles no longer needed back to base. Collision detection is sloppy too with cars driving through trucks with no issue etc.. just looks sloppy.
I don’t mind the repetitive nature that much, but it is the limited number of missions you get before you need to wait out the clock that kills it. Saying that however, the gem rewards are very generous compared to other games!
Searching far and wide
For a long time i was searching for a game that had a number of different aspect to it. I would download the game and it was nothing like the reviews or the add for the game but this one is.
Sure it can be repetitive but so can most games but then all of a sudden there is an update for the game and it freshens it up.
What i do like is the squads that you can join i started my own and have met some people from all over the world and we have good fun
A lot of fun with some amusing bugs
Generally a good game, hampered by a reliance on server connection so no offline play, and servers do go down reasonably regularly.
Route finding for vehicles and humans in game needs some work. In a classic example in the alpine village fire, you rescue a person from a building with the ladder truck, task an emergency doctor to treat them, and then park a water tender on both of them to fight the fire. Both survive, probably because emergency docs are like a terminator walking straight through the steel tray of a fire truck. Yet for some reason fire scares them.
Obviously a softer lot those docs than say paramedics who can stand next to fire all day, but for some reason are stuck in the sixties as litter stretcher carrying, body haulers for the docs. In most places power load stretchers and advanced skill sets are the norm.
But piece de resistance, is when the police arrive , hop out what I assume is the drivers side since there is only one of them, (right side is drivers side in Australia). Arrest the criminal, put him in handcuffs and shove him into the drivers seat. I’m sure that’s why there are so many car accidents in the game, caused by criminals driving police cars whilst handcuffed.
