Fixed a bug that prevented gold from being added to the player's total at the end of the game, especially when the "new game" button was pressed too soon.
Ratings and Reviews
A decent game which wears its influences
I’m a big fan of rogue like deck builders and other similar card games so this seemed to tick a few boxes.
It plays like a never ending version of Card Thief where you look to build armour or replenish health by landing on numbered cards, or to land on attack cards which damage random adjacent enemies. This allows you to land on enemy cards which reduce your health or armour until you die.
The object of the game is to collect gold which can be traded in for increased options for special item cards.
Different heroes have different skills which allow different play styles.
The combat system is more like Card Crawl, so essentially it’s a hybrid of two Tiny Touch Tale games but with a hell of a lot more randomness required to get to your high score. The items are usually not worth it, and so as you unlock some you reduce your effectiveness.
The art style is similar to those games as well , and doesn’t do enough to differentiate it from a large number of competitors.
I think the game would be better with starting armour to reduce the brutality, and better special item cards.
I like the endless/chase concept in theory but in practice you might as well chase a high score in a finite time limit because the game is so brutal.
I’ll keep playing a while but it doesn’t appear to have the depth of the games that it references after a couple of days playing.
