What has happened?
First, this etymology app, has been working well, and I have been a regular user of the online version/site, and the app version for a number of years. I totally support its functionality as an educational and reference/research aid for the word/language buffs amongst us. 👍🏼
However, there is a a change (or bug) recently that I do not like, my app now seems to be a Spanish version!? I deleted the app, and reinstalled and still it seems to be in another language. I went to the settings, but that is also in "Spanish" which I do not read, and there seems to be no option to set the default to English? Please bring back the version that I had, plain and simple, in English.

I think the Online Etymology app is simply outstanding. Every word’s meanings and origins is covered in depth with precision and huge interest. The range of views about a word’s origins reveals the hard work of others, and that, at times, certainty cannot be stated. I use this app almost every day and I have never been left unprovided for. It’s only problem is that it is very addictive but that is etymology.
Currently not worth paying for
I’ve used the web version of Etymonline for years. It was great when there were no ads. Stumbled upon the app version which will allow me to remove ads if I subscribe (I hate subscriptions), but it needs improving. On my iPhone XS Max, the bottom word of the related-word list is frequently cut in half so I can only see the top of the word, and cannot click on it. This needs fixing. Also, as a suggestion to improve the app, the Search Bar needs to remain constantly at the top of the app. Having to go back several times to the first page to start a new search is a nuisance, a repetition we don’t need at all. Fix those 2 things, and I will subscribe and give the app 5 stars.
