Do you want to see change in the Church and world? Rather than standing by and waiting around for things to happen, we need to begin the work of renewal in our own lives. There is no greater contribution we can make than to cultivate our own personal holiness by living a life of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. Stepping into a more serious life of prayer and sacrifice marks an important step in becoming the change we want to see.
Exodus exists to support men like you in becoming uncommonly free to become the renewal.
Each one of us has Pharaohs we serve and Idols we worship, which stand in our way and keep us from becoming who we are.
But, as St. Paul writes in his letter to the Galatians, "For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery."
A Christian vision of freedom is very different from that of the world. It's not about doing whatever we want, whenever we want, with whomever we want. No, Christian freedom is for love. A free man takes up his life, and he lays it down for those he loves, as Jesus shows us on the Cross. A free man is a man for others.
Through these forty days of spiritual exercises, you will become more of who you are, a son of God who has been called forth by the Father to experience his love and to give that love to others.

While I wouldn’t say that my first attempt at partaking in the Exodus journey is by any means a success, it has given me a taste of what what it really means to live a Christ-centred life, detached from the comforts in life we would otherwise regard as a given. One I admit I have fallen short of everyday.
As the app’s name suggests, you walk through the book of Exodus, portion by portion, accompanied by a relevant theme and devotional. I can tell you, that after previously believing it is only possible to interpret Exodus at face value (questioning how it could possibly apply to me as a 21st Century Aussie) that it in fact had everything to do with me, everything to do with the fraternity who have inspired me to go deeper in prayer (particularly on the grounds of silence with God) and, (unless I’m wrong, so in which case, please correct me) everyone in the battle.
In a nutshell, IT REVEALS A LOT TO YOU. Even if you don’t do well in terms of adhering to the asceticism practices, the Lord uses Exodus to reveal to you the simple pleasures in live you depend on, how you spend your day, and of course, how much we depend upon one another to draw closer to Him.
Having read this, if you are still sitting on the fence with regard to whether or not you should join, I highly encourage you to. Two things to note: never underestimate the value of fraternity, and make sure you have a clear “why” from the get go.

MUST DO PROGRAM
This has been a fantastic program with a great supporting app. For a cheap price per month you have a well-explained breakdown of each Exodus daily reading, list of disciplines, weekly meeting guide, help on examens and holy hour, etc all aesthetically laid out in front of you. 10/10 every man should do this program and use the app to support the men who created it.
The APP is great, the EXODUS is better
It’s funny how the emptying of oneself actually leads to fulfilment. These well structured 90 days has been a blessing for growth in prayer, self-mastery (discipline) and growing a close bond with 10 solid Christian/Catholic men. A great thanks to James and Nathaniel for putting together this journey. Recommend for all who are willing to step out in faith.
